Prime Minister David Cameron has joined business networking site LinkedIn but isn’t actively seeking a new job, reports the Daily Mirror.

The paper reports that aides for the Prime Minister say he is not looking for new employment, just to “connect with business people”.

The PM’s LinkedIn profile says: “David Cameron is not currently open to receiving introductions.”

Provider of financial services to businesses and recruitment firms Easypay has announced the appointment of Simon Robb as group financial director.

Robb was previously director of Barclays Corporate’s Liverpool operations.

The company has also promoted managing director Amanda Hobson to chief executive, and Stewart Davis from commercial director to group managing director.

International recruitment firm Manpower Group saw an increase in net earnings and revenues in the company’s third quarter.

Net earnings increased to $79.6m (£49.9m) from $51.3m year-on-year, and total revenues for the quarter increased 16% to $5.8bn.

City-type jobs will total 288,000 in 2011, well below the 2007 peak of 354,000, according to research by economic consultancy the Centre for Economics and Business Research (Cebr).

This returns job levels to lower than that seen in 1998.

There were 23,000 fewer jobs in retail in September 2011 compared to the same month last year, according to the Retail Employment Monitor produced by the British Retail Consortium (BRC) and law firm Bond Pearce.

However, the number of retail outlets grew with 1,134 new shops opening nationwide.

Recruitment process outsourcer and consultancy Omni RMS will create over 20 new jobs in the coming months.

Roles include senior account manager positions, account manager roles and client-facing resourcers.

Omni RMS currently has a staff count of 36.

Based in Cheshire, the company also provides social media training for recruiters.

Springer has 15 years’ experience of recruitment, including four years with Adecco.

At Roc, Springer will manage and develop the firm’s key account strategy.
