Jobsite has launched a Jobs by Twitter service to help provide candidates with personal tweets listing only relevant jobs to them.

Keith Potts, chief executive at Jobsite, says: “As a Twitter user, I know how frustrating it is to get an endless stream of irrelevant jobs constantly being sent to you.

Bristol-based recruiters believe theirs will be one of the fastest cities to recover economically.

Sonya Moseley, commercial supervisor at industrial and commercial recruiter Mainline Employment, told Recruiter: “We have had a definite increase in business. Since the Budget [published on 22 April] there has been a lot more confidence and we have more temps out.”

The annual cost of becoming a member of the REC’s newly launched Institute of Recruitment Professionals varies between £60 and £100.

There are three categories of membership:

Web-based mapping solutions provider Zubed Geospatial has launched a beta verson of Zubed Jobs (www.zubedjobs.com).

The site finds jobs directly from company websites and displays them on an a map-based interface, similar to a Google map.
