Recruitment software provider Idibu has recorded an 80% increase in sales.
Idibu’s end of year balance sheet shows profits of £28,000, while a further £36,000 investment of share capital is available to support business growth and development.

Travel and hospitality recruiter Management Search Executive (MSE) has appointed Ariel Freeman as an associate.
Freeman, who worked in hospitality for five years, first in on-property hotel sales and latterly through hotel brokerage and investment banking, will focus on the Americas, Caribbean and South America.

Tesco’s announcement that it is to create 800 new jobs in Glasgow is a welcome boost to recruitment in the city and in Scotland. The supermarket chain plans to open a customer service centre for its Tesco Personal Finance business in central Glasgow.
The Association of Recruitment Consultancies (ARC) is urging the government to run a pilot scheme, before introducing the Agency Workers Directive.

InterQuest Group made a profit of £630,000 after tax in the six months ended 30 June 2009. This compares with a profit of £1.5m in the same period in 2008. Revenue was down 8% at £49.2m.
