Engineering sector recruitment firm Orion has appointed Ross MacRae to the role of group human resources director.
MacRae will be based in the company’s head office in Inverness.
MacRae has 20 years industry experience having previously worked for energy and engineering industry service providers Wood Group, Subsea 7 and Halliburton.
Applications for mid-level IT vacancies dropped 22% in Q3 2011 compared to the same period the previous year, according to IT recruitment consultancy IntaPeople.
