HR teams and recruiters can now access their employability rating on recruitwit.com.

The site, trialled by a number of FTSE AND NYSE listed firms, gathers social media, blog and other online content to give an insight into a candidate’s digital footprint.

In the last year Recruitwit’s team have gather information equal to 100 times that stored by the British Library.

Flexible working should not be forced on employers, according to Martin Thomas head of recruitment at BT.

Thomas told Recruiter: “If we were forced to offer flexible working each time it would create significant costs in adapting our systems, processes and we would lobby for changes to the approach.”

Lone parents are to be offered  extra help to get training and work experience while their children are at nursery school, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions Yvette Cooper announced today.

Lone parents will also be able to keep £50 of their wages before losing any benefit if they get jobs for less than 16 hours a week.
