Proximity to workplace is the most important factor to British home movers, according to home-moving service reallymoving.com.

The research shows that 58% said ease of getting to and from their workplace was the most important influence in choosing a new place to live, while 35% said the deciding factor on location was good public transport links.

Around one in four (24%) professionals were forced to take jobs they were over-qualified for or seek work in an unrelated sector during the recession, according to the latest Employment Study from international recruiter Badenoch & Clark.

The under-24s are the hardest hit, with one third (33%) of this age group forced to take a job for which they were over-qualified.

IT recruiter Outsource UK has released positive year-on-year growth figures for the period May 2008 to May 2009.

The firm’s turnover increased by 52%, from £11m to £18m, while company’s profit rose by 16% over the same period.  

There has been no ‘material change in economic or market conditions’, IT recruiter Parity Group says in an interim management statement covering 1 July 2009 to 12 November 2009.

The statement says that overall trading during the second half of 2009 has been in line with management expectations.
