RPO provider ResourceBank has launched ResourceBank Executive Search, a new headhunting division to help clients across Europe fill senior and board level positions in all sectors.

ResourceBank director Sarah Hopkins leads the division. Hopkins has been at the company for more than 10 years and before that was a senior consultant at executive search firm Whitehead Mann.

Global recruiter Networkers International has seen profits rise, according to interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2011.

The group’s results reveal:

· Adjusted* pre-tax profits for the period up by 29.3% to £3.00m (2010: £2.32m)

· Pre-tax profits up by 37.2% to £2.87m (2010: £2.10m)

· Net fee income (gross profit) up by 12.7% to £13.61m (2010: £12.08m)

Due to uncertainties around nuclear energy and the transition to non-carbon based technologies, demand for oil & gas sector professionals is likely to hold up, according to Nick Parry, partner at oil & gas recruiter Inception Partners.

Parry told Recruiter: “The future of the sector is dependant on its transition to non-carbon based technologies.

Automotive recruiter Sentinel has appointed Sharon Grewal as a sales consultant.

Grewal was previously a sales executive at fitness training provider PT Academy and a recruitment consultant at nursing and domiciliary care agency Kingdom Personnel.

Ten organisations with recruitment interests earned places in ‘The Sunday Times HSBC 2011 Top Track 250’, a league table that ranks mid-market firms by sales. The list is intended to complement the newspaper’s Top Track 100, which was published earlier this year. 

Cardiff-based vehicle charter company, The Transport Broker, will take on 30 new staff between now and February.

Global security and maintenance firm G4S is expected to create 40,000-50,000 new jobs a year across the company, according to a company spokesperson.

The spokesperson adds that 10% of these new roles will be in the UK.

Multi-sector recruiter Stafforce Personnel expects to announce another acquisition within the next two weeks, according to chief executive Ian Anderson.
