International recruiter Hays has seen “good and broad-based” net fee growth buoyed by strong performance in its international operations, according to a trading update for the quarter ended 30 June.

The update reveals:

More than eight in 10 students (86%) rate their university highly in wanting to prepare them for work, according to research from skills self-help specialist My Performance Pitstop.

The research also shows 34% rate their university a first class nine or 10 in their employability focus, while 84% of current students also think employers value their degree above work experience.

International IT recruiter InterQuest the specialist IT recruitment Group has launched IQ Resourcing for the retail sector.

IQ Resourcing, formerly known as InterQuest UK serves the UK retail and leisure sector.

The division will be led by divisional manager David Wingate.

The forward-looking survey is designed to assess how mergers and acquisitions (M&As) are viewed within the recruitment sector over the next three months.

Talent management group Ochre House has appointed Suzie O’Reilly and James Jenkins as senior recruitment advisors for Telefonica, based in Dublin and Slough respectively.

Legal recruiter Laurence Simons has appointed Lucinda Moule as managing director.

Based at the firm’s London offices, Moule reports to Naveen Tuli, global managing director of Laurence Simons, and will focus growing Laurence Simons’ operations in the UK and Ireland, as well as in the European private practice market.

Global recruiter Morson International has opened an office in Aberdeen.

The office is led by branch manager Sarah Hutcheon, will create around 20 new jobs.
