Speaking at the launch of a new book “Put your Mindset to Work’, by Reed and Dr Paul G. Stoltz, in London yesterday, Reed, said: ” That’s our goal absolutely.  The challenge is the right people for the right job right now.”

Proposed changes to the EU’s Data Protection Directive could leave recruiters facing an administrative burden and large fines for non-compliance, says John Hayes, partner at law firm Irwin Mitchell.

The number of job offers made within the financial services sector fell by 5% in October, according to a study by City pre-employment screening firm, Powerchex.

The fall in job offers follows falls of 10% in August and 4% in September. Insurance firms (down 3%), hedge funds (down 18%) and investment managers (down 22%) all cut recruitment.

Richard Barker has returned to Kelly Services as business unit leader EMEA for Kelly Engineering Resources (KER) and Kelly IT Resources (KITR).
