UKG acquires Shiftboard to boost scheduling tools

HR and workforce management firm UKG has acquired Shiftboard, a US-based employee scheduling software provider.

Shiftboard has a strong client base in the oil, gas, energy and manufacturing sectors.

The acquisition will see Shiftboard’s industry-specific scheduling capabilities integrated into the UKG Pro Workforce Management suite. The move is expected to enhance UKG’s offering to businesses with round-the-clock operations and complex labour planning needs.

Shiftboard, headquartered in Seattle, has around 50 staff across the US and Canada. Its scheduling platform is used by over 500 organisations, including global operators such as Shell and BASF, to align staffing with production demand. The platform also ensures compliance with labour regulations and union agreements.
