First People Recruitment joins The Kingdom Group following acquisition

The Kingdom Group has completed the acquisition of First People Recruitment (FPR).

FPR provides temporary and permanent recruitment solutions across the industrial & manufacturing, food and horticultural, technical & engineering, and health & social care sectors.

The acquired business will be rebranded as Kingdom People to align with the existing brands within The Kingdom Group. This follows the acquisition of MC Personnel by The Kingdom People in November last year.

The senior leadership team at FPR, with the exception of FPR CEO Mark Foster, will remain at the helm, ensuring continuity and a smooth transition for 80+ customers and the 1,000+ workforce joining Kingdom. Foster is standing back from 20 years of building and leading the group, handing the business over to the Kingdom Group.

Kingdom People will now offer an enhanced South-based proposition, benefitting from the Kingdom Group’s broader capabilities across security, cleaning, systems and training. Led by CEO Terry Barton, The Kingdom Group has more than 11,500 employees and a turnover of £300m.

The Kingdom Group delivers service solutions in the specialist areas of security, cleaning and recruitment, and provides training for employees and customers through Kingdom Academy. Its National Support and Command Centre is based in Merseyside, with regional offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Birmingham, London and Belfast. Outside the UK, Kingdom has an expanding presence in India.
