Founder announces his Swan song at Hiring Hub

Simon Swan (pictured), founder of recruitment agency marketplace Hiring Hub, has announced he has left the company he founded in 2010.

He told TheBusinessDesk.com yesterday [23 January 2025] that his decision to leave the Manchester-based business was entirely his and added it was time for him to look at new opportunities. He was keen to explore new opportunities in AI, he said.

According to a post on his LinkedIn profile, Swan said: “It’s been an epic adventure, and one that’s taught me so much. But I’m ready to explore again; learn new things and write a fresh chapter.

“Fortunately, I can step away confident the business is in safe hands under [private equity firm] MonacoSol’s ownership, with Mark Rothwell at the helm.”

Rothwell was appointed CEO in September last year, succeeding interim CEO Ollie Beaton, who stepped in following the departure of Ashley Sellar in May.

Hiring Hub links businesses with top-rated recruitment agencies to find quality candidates quickly. Its marketplace platform provides organisations with an on-demand network of peer-reviewed, specialist recruitment agencies, with a view to taking the pain out of recruiting for HR managers and heads of departments alike.
