Hercules Site Services raises £8m for further growth in UK construction sector

AIM-listed Hercules Site Services, a technology-enabled labour supply company for the UK infrastructure sector, has raised around £8m by way of a Placing and Subscription.

“Placings of this size have been rare in the UK markets of late and so this fundraise is a strong vote of confidence in the company, which is well positioned to benefit from positive and political tailwinds,” a company statement said. The ‘tailwinds’ would include the new Labour government’s commitment to nuclear energy and its planning reforms and promise to build 1.5m homes over the course of the new Parliament.

The funds have been raised from two entrepreneurs, as well as institutional investors, and will be used to strengthen Hercules’ balance sheet to allow it to take advantage of opportunities it is seeing in the UK infrastructure and construction sector to grow its business both organically and via selective acquisitions.

In addition, an aggregate 6,060,606 Ordinary Shares have been sold by Hercules Real Estate to Wasdell Packaging.
