• The Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) has announced its new Representative Committee to help shape the trade association’s strategic direction, including 12 individuals who start their first term in this position. Baltimore Consulting has promoted James Eddison to assistant divisional lead of children’s services. Eddison will focus on nurturing talent and sharing his expertise within the children’s social care directorate to help develop emerging talent within the sector. He has worked with Baltimore Consulting since 2015, and will assist with the firm’s future growth plans.

• HR and recruitment specialist Gi Group has appointed Zak Harper as group marketing and communications director, and member of its UK&I executive board. With more than a decade of digital marketing experience specialising in technical SEO, content development, analysis and search strategy, Harper was previously global marketing director at Adzuna where he was responsible for growing global traffic to 20 job search sites with a focus on testing, scaling and driving effective traffic to client roles.

Stacy Hostetler has joined executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles’ San Francisco office as a partner in the healthcare and life sciences practice, specialising in the medical device sector. Previously, she co-led the medical technology practice for another global executive search firm for more than seven years. In addition, Adam Rubin has joined the New York City office as a consultant in the Heidrick Consulting purpose-driven change practice, businessfourzero. His focus is advising clients on integrating purpose, strategy and culture. Previously, he headed his own consultancy and served as a senior director at Capgemini Invent.

• Southampton and Birmingham IT recruitment agency VIQU has appointed Adam Smith as senior account manager in its account management team. Smith will support the growth of new and existing key accounts, focusing on the public sector. He brings over nine years of technical IT recruitment experience to the team.
