Gravitas acquires Hamlyn Williams’ Hong Kong and Shenzhen operations

UK-headquartered global recruitment company Gravitas Recruitment Group has acquired both of the Hamlyn Williams’ Hong Kong and Shenzhen operations.

This acquisition is part of the recruitment firm’s growth and expansion plans, and will continue to strengthen its presence in the Asia markets.

Hamlyn Williams is a global provider of staffing solutions in the technology, financial services, fintech, cyber security, life sciences and manufacturing sectors. By selling its Asia operations, the company has executed its decision “to continue to grow their existing presence in the UK, EU and US markets”, a press statement said.

The acquisition is another step in Gravitas’ growth strategy, which included three milestones in 2022 – the appointment of chief revenue officer Kurt Schreurs and expansion into Germany with the opening of offices in both Munich and Frankfurt under Guido Sieber in September and January respectively. Another step in 2022 was a key expansion into the Netherlands through the acquisition of R2 Group in December.
