• Specialist software engineering recruitment agency develop has appointed Megan Cohen as head of learning and development in London. Cohen was previously head of learning and development at G2 Recruitment and will set the strategy for the learning and development of the sales teams.

• Executive search firm Hayes & Partners has announced it will be expanding its presence in New York. Daniel Hurd will lead the expansion and joins as US managing partner. Hurd has “extensive” knowledge of the US recruitment industry and will focus on the legal, administrative, accounting/finance and HR spheres.

• Heidrick & Struggles has added one partner to its consulting business and one principal to its executive search business in the Americas. Regis Chasse joined as a partner in the Washington DC office and leads leadership development solutions initiatives for Heidrick Consulting. Luke Weaver joined as a principal in the Toronto office. He focuses on investment management and works with financial services clients across Canada and specialises in senior-level searches in multiple international geographies across asset classes and functions. 

• Kennedy Executive Search has elected Veerle Van De Vijver as its new president and György Kobelrausch as vice president. Former president Pablo Perella-Berdun will remain active as vice president of special projects. In 2023, Kennedy's legal entity will also transition from an EIG (equity investment group) to an LLC (limited liability company), allowing the network more flexibility to grow and act as a trading partner.

Van De Vijver is the managing partner of Tavernier & Van De Vijver, She joined the Kennedy network in 2021 with her business partner Luc Tavernier, with whom she founded Tavernier & Van De Vijver in 2014.

Kobelrausch is the managing partner of Ikelosz, Kennedy’s partner office in Budapest, Hungary, that he founded in 2010. In 2017 Ikelosz was one of the first partners to join the Kennedy network.

• SPG Resourcing has appointed Katie Menzies as client delivery director. Menzies was most recently a client engagement manager at the IT recruitment firm Corecom Consulting. She also held positions in the US tech company Oracle. She is responsible for managing and developing key accounts, and helping clients benefit from the wider services within the Solutions Performance Group.

• Recruitment services provider Wave has announced three new hires to its business. Richard Harris joins as operations director to head up client services. He has worked in the recruitment industry for over 18 years, spending the last 11 years in recruitment tech at Broadbean and cube19/Bullhorn.

Dino Halugić is appointed digital project manager for RecWebs, working with clients and the RecWebs team to build professional websites for recruitment agencies. Carlo Alboreto joins as sales director, having worked in recruitment tech (including Broadbean, JobAdder and Recruitment Insider) for many years.
