• East Midlands, Nottingham-based recruitment firm Cherry Professional has appointed Simon Wassall as its strategic adviser. Wassall has more than 38 years’ experience in the recruitment industry, and will be working closely with Cherry’s senior leadership team as it embarks on a significant growth plan to expand into additional professional specialisms and geographical footprints. Cherry Professional is a finance, HR, marketing and business support-focused consultancy.

• Recruitment firm Eames Group has announced four new promotions. Partner Sarah Roebuck is promoted to marketing director; partner Daniel Navazesh is promoted to executive director of the Eames Consulting contracts and technology division in the UK; partner Lauren Seal is promoted to director of group operations; and Danielle Rainert is promoted to partner and director of people and performance.

• Global resourcing consultancy Hortor has appointed Andrew Derrick as business growth consultant to support its expansion across financial services and the FinTech sectors. Derrick was formerly group chief information officer for Shieldpay, and brings more than 30 years of experience having been responsible for attracting, retaining and developing employees at all levels. At Hortor, he will be tasked with developing and growing new, strategic global client relationships to support the strategic expansion of the business and increase its revenue.

• Primis Talent has promoted D’Arcy Long from associate consultant to senior consultant in its London office. Long joined the firm nine months ago in December 2021.

• Professional services recruitment specialist Sellick Partnership has promoted Mark Bailey to its board of directors. He will continue to develop client relationships and work on projects to benefit the business in its next stages of growth. Bailey joined the recruitment firm in 2015 to head the Leeds-based locum private practice legal team where he progressed to become leader of the permanent recruitment team.

• IT recruitment agency VIQU has made two new appointments. Said Bayan joins its permanent division as a recruitment resourcer, while Dom Reid is appointed recruitment consultant in VIQU’s contract team.
