Cathedral Appointments hires Murphy as director

Exeter-based independent recruitment agency Cathedral Appointments has welcomed Clodagh Murphy to the team as director.

In her new appointment, Murphy will focus on spearheading the strategic support systems, which “aim to accelerate Cathedral Appointment’s growth plans for 2022 and beyond”, a company statement said.

Cathedral Appointments plans to add an additional five team members in 2022 to meet the clients’ current demands and as it branches into new markets, the statement said.

Murphy holds over two decades’ worth of experience in the tech and IT sectors. Her career began working in San Francisco for mutual fund company Montgomery Asset Management. Murphy then moved back to her home city, Dublin where she spent four years in a variety of roles for eircom, the incumbent telecommunications provider. Later relocating to the UK, she has had several leadership roles in Tech and IT Services businesses, including KCOM Group, where she progressed to managing director of Eclipse Internet and grew that business from £20m to £40m turnover.
