Recruitment firm in US pays bonus in Bitcoin

A US recruitment firm is giving participants in its company bonus programme the option to receive payment in Bitcoin (BTC).

A statement from 4 Corner Resources said company president Pete Newsome received a 69% positive response to a social media poll when he asked his network to weigh in on whether or not the staffing sector was ready for digital currencies.

The survey, which attracted 500 responses, found that the 69% said they would be happy to accept bonus payments in BTC. The addition to the bonus programme was launched this week, the statement said.

The company has also bought every member of the business a book that explains cryptocurrencies.

“While we will continue to offer a standard cash pay-out, we’re excited to add Bitcoin as an option for those who are interested in learning more about it, as well as those who already believe in its future,” Newsome said.

The programme is now open to staff and non-staff, allowing anybody to refer friends for jobs and receive BTC as their reward.

4 Corner Resources specialises in executive search, headhunting, direct hire recruiting, contract to hire and temporary staff solutions.
