Elite Leaders restructures its leadership and redefines mission

Elite Leaders has this month restructured its leadership structure, redefined its offerings and repurposed its focus.

Exclusively revealed to Recruiter, the long-established recruitment membership and networking organisation’s new executive board includes Sid Barnes as new CEO with Tara Ricks now its COO. Founder and serial entrepreneur John O’Sullivan is chairman. The redefined mission is to be the advisory and consulting partner to the recruitment industry.

O’Sullivan said: “We’d already kind of planned our evolution in March so when Covid hit… it looked like it could be a problem.”

However, having to shift its traditional offering into a virtual world turned into a positive opportunity for the organisation to do more. Ricks said: “We pivoted very quickly, as you can imagine – the offering went completely virtual, and we went from [meeting] once every couple of months to every week, and hand-holding our clients through that immediacy of crisis management, frankly. Zoom meetings have really created a whole different level of community that we had never experienced before. And that really drove us to thinking about what we look like next year.

“It’s actually been very humbling,” Ricks said, “to watch this hugely collaborative community ‘best practice’ sharing, people allowing themselves to be vulnerable in a horrid marketplace. There’s a real appetite to continue.”

Exclusively revealed to Recruiter, the organisation’s service lines cover succession support, start-ups and fast-growth businesses, established medium-sized businesses and Elite XL, management advisory to businesses 12 month from a mergers-and-acquisition event, Elite Events, Elite Meet (client conferences), Elite Partners and Elite Experts, the latter specialising in diversity & inclusion and recruitment process outsourcing/managed services provision.

The organisation’s operating board includes Midge Bennett, Barum Jeffries, Adam Jordan, Katy Cracknell and Chris Cranshaw.
