Recruitment drive for clinical pharmacists in Northamptonshire

Northamptonshire Health and Care Partnership is on the lookout for clinical pharmacists as part of a new recruitment campaign taking place across the county.

According to a statement released by NHCP this week, the work of these new clinical pharmacists could include helping the general practice (GP) clinical directors deliver services across the primary care networks, such as undertaking structured medication reviews and proactively managing patients with complex polypharmacy.

They could also provide support for GP teams through addressing prescription and medication queries, and provide expertise in clinical medicines advice. A key aspect of the role will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team; providing clinical leadership; and ensuring that the practice integrates with community and hospital pharmacy to help improve patient outcomes.

The deadline for applications is 17 January 2020, ahead of interviews being held on 22 January 2020.
