FINANCIALS: Search Group growth boosted by Henderson Scott acquisition

Nationwide recruitment solutions provider Search Group has reported strong growth in net fee income year-on-year, according to 2018 results.

The group’s results, uploaded to Companies House this week, reveal turnover of £221m, up from £184m in 2017 and NFI of £52.8m, up from £41.2m.

The group’s results were boosted by the August 2018 acquisition of technical and IT recruiter Henderson Scott.

Commenting on the group’s performance, Search Group chief financial officer Stuart Dick said: “The acquisition of Henderson Scott was a significant development for the company, and almost a year on I am delighted with the positive impact of the acquisition, enhancing the group’s reputation in the technology space and bringing greater scale and reach.

“Against a backdrop of political and economic uncertainty, as well as increasingly complex and fast-moving regulatory changes, the UK employment market is one where skills shortages have never been more of an issue for business. I am proud of the role that Search plays, delivering value and expertise to its clients.”
