CONTRACTS & DEALS: 8-12 OCTOBER 2018

This week’s contracts and deals include: Adepto, Capita, McGinley CEP, Orion Electrotech, Signium, SmartRecruiters, Suits Me, TechnoPro Holdings, totaljobs

• Business process outsourcing provider Capita’s start-up development unit, Capita Scaling Partner (CSP), has entered into a new strategic partnership with total talent management company Adepto.

The agreement sees Capita enter a long-term ‘scaling partner’ relationship to provide business development services to support Adepto’s ongoing global expansion. Capita will also adopt Adepto’s cloud-based platform to help manage its own workforce and deploy it as a client solution via its People Solutions business to help clients better manage all the talent available to them.

• Recruiter McGinley Construction, Engineering & Property (CEP) have acquired rival London-based agency First Choice. In a statement, McGinley CEP said it would introduce a new group leadership team as part of the deal.

• Technical recruitment specialist Orion Managed Services, trading as Orion Electrotech, has completed the sale of a majority stake in the business to technology and engineering staffing services TechnoPro Holdings of Japan.

Orion founder Chris Benham moves to a non-executive role following the deal, while executive management team shareholder-directors Paul Ridley, John Waters and Ross Benham will continue in their current roles managing Orion.

Boxington Corporate Finance provided M&A advice to the Orion Shareholders and Osborne Clarke provided legal advice. Deal price and terms are not disclosed.

• Retained executive search firm Signium has adopted the new search system from Not Actively Looking as its primary platform for managing all of its business.

• Global identity confirmation service HooYu has partnered with banking solution Suits Me. Suits Me, a banking solution designed specifically for temporary agency and migrant workers, has adopted HooYu Identify to verify customer identities in a bid to avert unnecessary complications or bureaucracy usually associated with opening an account.

• UK job board totaljobs is partnering with US talent acquisition software SmartRecruiters. The partnership gives totaljobs customers access to the ATS at no cost, with the aim of enabling them to hire in a more streamlined way, ensuring recruiters have access to the best candidates for their roles.

The integration makes the SmartRecruiters platform accessible from within the totaljobs recruiter dashboard, while the accompanying SmartRecruiters mobile app forms part of the offering, meaning application management and interview scheduling can take place on the go.
