APPOINTMENTS: 1-5 OCTOBER 2018

This week’s appointments include: CIPHR, FCSA, Pedersen & Partners, Rota, Supertemps, Talent International, Vargo Recruitment, Working Links, Xpertise Recruitment

• HR and recruitment software provider CIPHR has appointed Claire Williams as head of people. Williams’ remit is to oversee the further development of CIPHR’s HR function into a strategic force in the business, with a specific focus on organisational culture, talent management, and learning & development.

• Trade body the Freelancer & Contractor Services Association (FCSA) has appointed Chris James as its new chairperson. James is head of accounting operations at JSA Group.

• International executive search firm Pedersen & Partners welcomes Michael Getchell as a client partner for the US and co-head of Latin America, based in San Francisco.

Stephen Segel joins hospitality and events staffing app Rota as CEO. Segel has led the financial operations in a number of recruitment organisations, including technology specialists NP Group, engineering and energy company Spencer Ogden and Aston Carter.

• North Wales-based recruiter Supertemps welcomes construction business manager Vikki Lycett and trainee consultant Rebecca Tyner to its construction division. Supertemps launched the division at the turn of the year.

• Australian recruiter Talent International has appointed James Davies as sales director for the UK. His appointment is part of Talent’s plans to grow its business in the North-West, with expansion in its Manchester-based team in particular.

• Cardiff-based Vargo Recruitment has appointed Tom Miller as its new associate director. As associate director, Miller will predominantly focus on executive and C-suite appointments, as well as other leadership and management positions, across its core operational areas of Finance, Systems, Analysis and Projects.

• Skills specialist Working Links has appointed Emma Barrett-Peel, a former apprentice herself, to a newly-created position of head of apprenticeships to spearhead its work across the country.

• Technology staffing specialist Xpertise Recruitment welcomes Leo Humphreys as associate director at its main London office in the City.
