Report claims RPO is fastest growing outsourcing market

A new report has identified the recruitment process outsourcing market as one of the fastest growing among outsourcing disciplines.

The report – ‘Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) Annual Report 2018: orchestrating the digital talent acquisition symphony’, released by Everest Global, a Dallas, Texas management consulting and research firm this week – finds growth in the sector to be around 15% over the past three years.

The report also finds the RPO market touched the $3.3bn (£2.56bn) mark in annualised contract value in 2017, with buyers from the retail, healthcare and pharmaceuticals and smaller-sized firms now entering the market.

While North America, the UK and Australia continue as major markets, emerging markets now include Continental Europe and Asia Pacific, according to the report.

Looking ahead, the report also found while few players in the RPO sector command a dominant marketshare, firms within the sector have been warned maintaining marketshare will be difficult as competition within the sector intensifies.
