CONTRACTS & DEALS: 13-17 AUGUST 2018

This week’s contracts and deals include: ClearStar, greenbean by NRG, Jupiter Advertising, Quattro Group, Sparks Careers, Trust Tech

ClearStar, a technology and service provider to the background check industry, has been named the preferred contract labour screening provider by personal and business jet aircraft provider Gulfstream Aerospace.

Gulfstream, which already uses ClearStar’s background screening services for its own direct hires, has now requested that the 50+ contract labour suppliers that provide it with over 3,000 workers each year also use ClearStar’s screening services.

Northumbria University has awarded recruitment solutions provider greenbean by NRG a contract for sourcing temporary workers. The positions are across a range of professional services roles including administrative, manual and technical staff.

• Recruitment communications agency Jupiter Advertising has acquired rival Sparks Careers for an undisclosed sum. Anna Fleetwood takes the role of agency director, while Jupiter founder Russell Dalton becomes chairman and executive director, and Fiona Horton becomes managing director at the newly formed group.

• Japan-based staffing business Trust Tech is to take a majority stake in multi-sector recruiter Quattro Group. In a statement, released late last week, the group revealed it board of directors had passed a resolution for it to acquire 75% of the shares of Quattro Group through subsidiary Gap Personnel.

Trust Tech further revealed it plans to make Quattro Group a consolidated subsidiary of the group following the deal.
