APPOINTMENTS: 12-16 MARCH 2018

• Business outsourcing provider Capita welcomes Will Serle as chief people officer, with effect from April. 

With more than 25 years’ human resources experience, Serle joins Capita in this newly-established role from multinational consultancy, engineering and project management company Amec Foster Wheeler, where he led the company’s global HR leadership team.

• Specialist recruiter Concept Resourcing welcomes Jon Horrocks as senior manager of its field service engineering and business support divisions.

• IT infrastructure recruiter Franklin Fitch welcomes Lewis Andrews as practice manager. Andrews will lead the firm’s new Cardiff business supported by consultant Anthony Ham, who will cover Wales and the South West of England.

• Recruitment giant Kelly Services has elected Gerald Adolph to its board of directors. Adolph is a retired senior partner with executive search firm Booz Allen Hamilton/Booz & Co.

• Departing Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) CEO Kevin Green is joining global resourcing specialists BPS World as a non-executive director from April.

• Recruitment process outsourcing provider Resource Solutions has appointed Kirsty Adams as global HR director.

Based at parent company’s Robert Walters Group head office in London, Adams will be leading a global team to develop and implement HR strategies, programmes and policies to drive Resource Solutions’ culture. In addition, she will spearhead efforts to enhance the firm’s cultural transformation to embed the brand’s values into the business’ recruitment, management and people development practices globally.

China remains full of Eastern promise for recruiters

Despite warnings by the head of the ruling Communist party of flagging economic growth, fears of an escalating trade war with the US and of a credit bubble, recruiters in China say that the market in the world’s second largest economy remains strong.

FINANCIALS: Impellam sees increase in revenue but slight profit fall

Impellam Group has posted a 5.7% increase in revenue year-on-year, according to unaudited results for the 53-week period to 4 January 2019.
