FINANCIALS: Robert Walters reveals growth in UK and worldwide

International recruiter Robert Walters has posted net fee income growth in its operations across the globe, including the UK.

According to a trading update for the quarter ended 30 September 2017, the results reveal group NFI increased 22% to £90.7m to £74.4m on the previous year, led by NFI growth its ‘other international’ operations, which includes North America, Brazil, the Middle East and South Africa (up 75% from £4.5m to £7.9m) and Europe (up 31% from £14.5m to £20.1m).

Both the group’s UK and Asia-Pacific operations also posted NFI growth – up 15% from £23.4m to £26.9m and up 12% from £32m to £35.8m respectively. In London, activity levels were highest across the group’s technology and legal recruitment businesses, while areas outside the capital also delivered good growth, with St Albans and Manchester the standout performers.

Commenting on the group’s performance, CEO Robert Walters said: “The group has delivered another quarter of record results with NFI growing 21% year-on-year. All of the group’s geographic regions grew NFI strongly and growth was broad based across permanent, contract, interim and recruitment process outsourcing.

“The board is therefore confident that profit before tax for the full year will be ahead of current market expectations.”

The group will publish a trading update for quarter ending 31 December 2017 on 9 January 2018.
