FINANCIALS: Robert Walters sees growth in profits

Global recruiter Robert Walters has UK gross profit climb 13% year-on-year, according to results for the second quarter of the year.

The results, published this morning, reveals GP in the UK rose to £24.3m from £21.6m in Q2 2016 buoyed by growth for the group’s financial services, commerce and IT recruitment divisions in London, with good growth across the regions with St Albans and Milton Keynes standout performers.

However, GP across the group rose 16% in constant currency from £69.3m to £86.3m over the period fuelled by 19% GP growth in Europe and 86% GP growth in the group’s ‘Other International’ operations with strongest growth delivered by the North America region. GP growth in Asia-Pacific was more muted at 10%.

Commenting on the group’s performance, CEO Robert Walters said: “The group has delivered another record performance in the second quarter again benefitting from our international footprint and the breadth of recruitment solutions we provide.

“Net fee income for the first six months of the year is up 18% and the Board is confident that profit before tax for the full year will be ahead of current market expectations.”

The group will publish its half-year results for the six months ended 30 June 2017 on 26 July 2017.
