29 June 2017

Rolls-Royce is to create 200 jobs at a new £150m testing facility in Derby. The BBC reports the facility will test large civil aero-engines.
The engineering giant also announced there will no compulsory redundancies in its Derby, or Hucknall and Annesley in Nottinghamshire operations, safeguarding 7,000 jobs for five years. Furthermore, it will no longer close a precision machining facility in Derby as previously planned, protecting around 150 jobs.
