Walker leads MBO at BIE Executive

The executive leadership team of interim management specialist BIE Executive has completed a management buyout of the business.

The MBO, led by CEO Rob Walker (picture above), sees the agency buy out the shares previously held by banking giant Barclays.

Commenting on the buyout and plans for the business, Walker said: “When we partnered with Barclays four years ago, the aim was to bring a carefully considered, clearly defined proposition to market, focusing on organisations who are going through change.

“The buyout allows us to build on our current position and continue to evolve our market-leading consulting proposition … Our focus is very much on the long-term, we want to grow the business by investing in being even more client and candidate centric.

“We are eager to ensure we maintain the momentum we have built and don’t stagnate by becoming complacent.

“I would like to thank Barclays, who have been a huge support. Without them we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to complete the first buyout, and we wouldn’t be in this position to finalise the buyout of them today.”
