Unosquare creates 100 jobs in Belfast by 2019

Oregon-based software development company Unosquare is to create 100 new jobs by the end of 2019 through a new Belfast-based engineering centre.

The US-headquartered firm says its new engineering centre, which will serve existing US customers, as well as support expansion into the UK and European markets, will be located in Belfast due to the availability of a “strong” pool of software engineers and their ability to offer support towards securing the project for Northern Ireland.

Unosquare clients fall mainly within the healthcare, fintech and high-tech industries, while the new jobs will offer an average salary of £37k.

Regional development agency Invest NI has offered £650k to support the creation of the new jobs.
