FINANCIALS: Heidrick & Struggles sees nearly 10% increase in revenue

Heidrick & Struggles International has seen revenue increase 9.6% on 2015, according to financial results for Q4 and fiscal year ended 31 December 2016.

The results reveal net revenue before reimbursements increased from $531.1k (£427m) to $582.3k in 2016 and from $144.5k to $159.8k in Q4 2016.

Across its operations, the global executive search and leadership consulting provider saw net revenue increase 6.3% and 6.6% in Q4 and full year 2016 respectively, with its European business posting the strongest performance among the group’s regions of operation. All of its industry practice groups contributed to year-on-year growth, with the exception of its global technology & services division.

Meanwhile, the group’s leadership consulting business saw net revenue increase 117% and 103.8% in Q4 and full year 2016 respectively.

However, across the firm’s culture shaping business net revenue fell 10.4% in Q4 but was unchanged for the full year.

The firm adds it is forecasting Q1 2017 consolidated net revenue of between $140m and $150m.

Commenting on the group’s results, Heidrick & Struggles’ president and CEO Tracy Wolstencroft said the group was pleased with its 2016 achievements, both operationally and financially.

“We strategically invested in the growth of all three of our businesses through a combination of acquisitions and new hires, while maintaining profitability. Our clients' need for visionary leadership, differentiating talent and thriving culture truly has never been greater, and Heidrick & Struggles' brand and impact has never been stronger. We are well positioned to continue our momentum in 2017 on both the top and bottom lines.”
