Heidrick & Struggles appoints DeAnda in LA and Besland in London

Luis DeAnda, former president and chief executive of advertising agency TBWA\Chiat\Day, has been appointed partner at Heidrick & Struggles’ Los Angeles office.

The company said his presence will enhance Heidrick & Struggles' presence in Los Angeles and across the West Coast, while also furthering the diversity of its consultant team advising clients throughout the US and globally.

Meanwhile, Louis Besland has become a partner in H&S’s industrial practice and as head of chemicals for Europe and Africa based in London.

Besland, who has more than 30 years of consulting and operational experience, will focus on building the firm's search and leadership consulting activities in the oil & gas, chemical and energy sectors.

Before joining H&S, Besland was managing director and co-head of the European and Middle East Oil, Gas & Chemicals practice at AlixPartners.
