Business outsourcing provider Capita has appointed Ian Powell as non-executive director and chairman designate from 1 September.

Powell will succeed Martin Bolland as non-executive chairman on 1 January 2017. 

Bolland announced his intention to stand down in February and will step down after six years as non-executive chairman and eight years as a non-executive director at Capita on 31 December.
