Salary and career progression opportunities are the top factors in attracting and retaining talent in China, according to Chinese executive search firm ZW HR Consulting’s 2015 workforce survey.

Salary and career progression opportunities are the top factors in attracting and retaining talent in China, according to Chinese executive search firm ZW HR Consulting’s 2015 workforce survey.

The results of the survey, published yesterday, were based on responses from more than 4,000 HR professionals across China.

Results reveal 77% thought salaries and benefits were the most important factor in attracting and retaining talent.

And 51% thought career progression was the second most important, followed by work-life balance, company background and training & development. 

According to the survey, typical benefits include flexible working, health benefits and vehicle allowance.
