US recruiter Cross Country Healthcare has posted revenue of US$195.7m (£127.6) for the third quarter of this year.

Its financial statement, released yesterday and covering the three months to 30 September, reveal this is a 4% year-on-year increase.

Revenue from its nurse and allied staffing division increased 6% year-on-year to $16.3m. The company attributed this to organic growth and improved gross margins.

Revenue from its physician staffing division decrease 3% year-on-year, though increased 4% sequentially to $3.2m, also due to improved gross margins.

Revenue from its other human capital management services division was $7.4m, a decrease of 19% year-on-year and 27% sequentially.

The company said the year-on-year decrease was due to one less month of revenue from the education seminars business, which it divested in August. This was partially offset by growth in the search business, which was up 30% year-on-year to $400k.
