Jeffrey Joerres retires from Manpower

Jeffrey Joerres is to retire as executive chairman of global recruiter ManpowerGroup, effective 31 December.

Joerres joined ManpowerGroup in 1993, has served as chairman of the board since 2001. He was chief executive from 1 April 1999 to 1 May 2014.

The company announced this morning Joerres will be succeeded by current ManpowerGroup CEO Jonas Prising, who takes on the additional post of chairman of the board.

Both are based in Milwaukee.
