Retail and manufacturing leads recruitment activity in France, Germany and the Netherlands

The trade/retail sector hired the most people in France and the Netherlands (17.1% and 21.9% respectively) in Q1 2015, while manufacturing led the way in Germany (25.9%).

The trade/retail sector hired the most people in France and the Netherlands (17.1% and 21.9% respectively) in Q1 2015, while manufacturing led the way in Germany (25.9%).

This finding comes from research by Jobfeed, the Big Data jobs tool of CV parsing service Textkernel.

IT workers in the Netherlands, administrators in Germany and salespeople in France ranked as their country’s most sought-after professionals.

The data reveals the top professional classes in Q1 in Germany were administrators (11.5%), followed by IT professionals (11.3%) and production workers (9.5%), while in France the top profession was sales (13.4%), followed by production (9.4%) and administration (8.9%) and in the Netherlands it was IT (12.8%) followed by sales (12%) and administration (9.2%).

With regards to the part-time/full-time work split, the share of part-time jobs in the Netherlands (31.3%) was twice as big as it is in Germany (13.6%) and France (15.4%).

The data also shows the share of part-time jobs is shrinking in Germany (down 2.5%), while it is growing in France (up 1.6%) and the Netherlands (up 3%).
