Engineering and professional services recruitment agency Matchtech Group has completed its acquisition of telecoms and technology sector recruiter Networkers International.

The completion was announced via the London Stock Exchange this morning (2 April).

Speaking to Recruiter when the deal was announced on 29 January this year, Matchtech executive chairman Brian Wilkinson said the acquisition would significantly expand his company’s international reach.

He said Matchtech, which specialises in engineering and professional services recruitment, had been historically very UK-centric, deriving only 2% of its net fee income (NFI) from international business.

This acquisition, as well as opening up the telecoms sector to Matchtech, will see the combined group generate about 30% of its NFI from international markets.

Matchtech also said this morning that Neville Goodman, the non-executive chairman of Networkers, has joined the Matchtech board as a non-executive director with immediate effect.
