Encore Personnel Services, supplier of temporary and permanent blue-collar workers to the engineering, industrial and driving sectors, is looking at acquisition opportunities this year, its financial statement reveals.

The company’s financial statement for the year ended 31 December 2014, released via Companies House yesterday [23 March], confirmed revenue increased 50% in 2014 to £45.1m and gross profit increased to £7.46m (2013: £5.71m), as previously reported by Recruiter.

The statement continued to list “main investment activity” this year, with “pursuit of suitable acquisitions” topping the list.

Encore acquired food and horticultural staffing specialist Response Recruitment in January this year.

Also on the list was increased spending and research on applicant resourcing.

It listed the “skills and talent crisis” faced by the UK as potentially affecting growth plans this year.

The statement continued: “Ability to recruit the talent we need, from abroad if necessary and a visa regime that is simple to use, is key.”
