FINANCIALS: Profits up at Capita

Annual profits have increased by 13% for business process management and outsourcing solutions provider Capita, according to full-year results for the year ended 31 December 2014.

The results reveal revenues increased from £3,851m to £4,372m year-on-year, while operating profit rose to £576.3m from £516.9m in 2013 along with profit before tax from £475m to £535.7m over the period.

The group’s workplace services division, in which the firm’s recruitment operations sit, delivered revenues of £597.5m in 2014.

According to a company statement, Capita chief executive Andy Parker anticipates “good visibility of strong revenue growth” in 2015, driven by conversions in the group’s bid pipeline, new acquisitions and increased business from last year’s acquisitions and contract wins.
