Sheffield City Council extends contract with Capita

Sheffield City Council has extended its existing seven-year partnership with outsourced services company Capita, which began in January 2009, by up to a further six years.
Wed, 21 Jan 2015Sheffield City Council has extended its existing seven-year partnership with outsourced services company Capita, which began in January 2009, by up to a further six years.

The deal is worth around £140-£170m for Capita and will run from January 2016 to January 2022.

Capita will continue to deliver a core range of services on behalf of the council, including ICT, revenues, benefits, HR, and payroll and financial business transactions.

NHS Trust plans to cut jobs and agency staff

The BBC reports today [30 April 2025] that the North-West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is planning job cuts, as well as cutting its expenditure on bank and agency staff.
