APPOINTMENTS: 3-7 FEBRUARY 2025

This week’s appointments include: Be Personnel, Calibre One, RAMP Global, Ultimate Finance
• Inverness recruitment firm Be Personnel has appointed Ethan Bews operations director. Bews, who joined the recruiter in the food processing, commercial, industrial and driving sectors in 2016 as recruitment administrator, will work closely with Iona Currie, group recruitment director at Be Personnel owner GEG Capital, to drive sectoral and geographical growth across Scotland.
• Calibre One, a global executive search firm, has announced that Venesa Klein has rejoined the company to co-lead its recently formed consumer division as partner. She was most recently with Mixbook, a founder-led consumer creative platform, where she was head of global talent acquisition. Klein and Luis DeAnda, who joined the firm in 2023, will head up the consumer practice together. Working from Calibre One’s Los Angeles office, her role is to help grow this key focus area, expand the consumer practice nationwide and build a national consumer-focused recruitment team.
• HR technology firm RAMP Global has appointed Dan Martin strategic board adviser. His operational leadership roles have included eight years as managing director at Broadbean Technology where he oversaw the exit of the business to CareerBuilder. Most recently, Martin took on the role of chief operating officer at an AI business.
Martin’s primary responsibilities will include advising the RAMP Global board on prioritisation of key initiatives in key markets like the US. He will work closely with the senior management team to ensure business operations are fully aligned in order to deliver against the firm’s key priorities.
• Specialist asset-based lender Ultimate Finance has expanded its team with key appointments. David Moran and Steve Armstrong have joined the Southern and Midlands sales team. Moran has expertise in asset-based lending, and will focus on supporting businesses in the South-East. Armstrong, with over 23 years of experience, will be responsible for expanding Ultimate Finance’s presence in the Midlands. His role will focus on building relationships and ensuring businesses in the region have access to the company’s financial solutions.
The Northern sales team sees the addition of Sean Thomson and Richard Leathley, both of whom have more than 20 years’ experience and held senior positions within their previous organisations.
