Tue, 4 Nov 2014The Ministry of Defence has offered a set of managed service provider contracts, including a human resources contract with PwC.

According to a ministry statement, the contracts are to help the transformation of and address legacy issues within Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), the organisation that buys and supports all the equipment used by the armed forces.

The HR contract will see PwC help the DE&S establish a bespoke HR function and deliver the required HR transformation. The contract is initially for three years with the option of two one-year extensions.

PwC will support DE&S in attracting, developing, managing and retaining high-performing individuals. The contract will include creating a new performance management, incentivisation and career management system.

The other contract offering announced today was for project delivery, which has been offered to two companies — the Land and Joint Enabler domain contracts to engineering and design services company CH2M Hill, and the Air and Fleet domain contracts to construction and civil engineering firm Bechtel.

The process for the third contract, which will cover finance, management information and information technology, is planned to begin in the next few months.
