FINANCIALS: Adecco’s revenue growth has slowed

Adecco has reported that revenue growth had slowed in its third quarter results because of weaker performance in Germany and France.

The recruitment firm’s financial results stated that revenues in the UK and Ireland increased by 1% to €526m (£413m) with around two thirds of revenues coming from professional staffing, which grew by 2%. Revenues from permanent placements in the UK and Ireland increased by 8% and overall gross profit growth for this region was 4%.
The recruitment firm’s financial results stated that revenues reached €5.2bn (£4.1bn), up 4% in constant currency. It was also stated that currency fluctuations had a negative impact on revenues of around 1%.
Gross profit amounted to €954m with a gross margin of 18.4%, which was down 30bps [basis points] year-on-year.
Revenues in France fell by 3%, while revenues in Germany and Austria grew by only 1%.
