Technical recruiter CBSbutler has opened a resourcing office in Krakow, Poland.

Company managing director David Leyshon said there were growing shortages in blue-collar technical skills, particularly manufacturing, “which remains the cornerstone of our business”.

Leyshon said to meet the demand the company is looking to launch new resourcing operations, along with language training capabilities, throughout Eastern Europe.

He explained that the reasoning behind the new Polish resource centre resulted from “the strategic mindset that we will be targeting German blue-collar manufacturing and engineering jobs, sourcing foreign nationals from Eastern European countries”.

He continued: “Germany is very attractive to non-indigenous candidates who can command comparatively high pay rates and enjoy the relatively low living costs compared to other parts of the European Union.”
