NES Global Talent has opened an office in Yokohama, in the recruiter’s first foray into the Japanese market.
Mon, 27 Oct 2014NES Global Talent has opened an office in Yokohama, in the recruiter’s first foray into the Japanese market.

The Yokohama office will act as a hub for business activity across the country, says the company.

The office is located in Yokohama Landmark Tower in the Minato Mirai area of the city. It is managed by Yousef Ayub, operations manager, who previously worked at the company’s office in Singapore.

NES plans to recruit more staff within the year.

“Many of our global clients are supporting specialist engineering talent in Japan, overseeing new projects, particularly liquefied natural gas [LNG],” says Matt Underhill, regional director of Asia-Pacific at NES.

Underhill says recent events in the nuclear power industry means Japan is reviewing its energy supply, and this should create recruitment opportunities.

NES recently opened offices in New Plymouth, New Zealand, and in Shekou, China. The company, set up in 1978, now has 45 offices in 28 countries, with more office openings planned for 2014.
