Thu, 11 Sep 2014The number of US job vacancies on LinkedIn has increased from 350,000 to more than 1m since May, according to a blog post from the social networking website.
This follows efforts made by LinkedIn to test new ways of adding open roles from US companies. It is now aiming is to make “every open role in the world available” on LinkedIn, according to the blog.
Roles are being added from companies’ career sites, applicant tracking systems and third-party websites. These listings are visible to active candidates when they search for jobs on LinkedIn. Job slots and posts also reach passive candidates through job recommendations made across LinkedIn.
LinkedIn is also in the process of building an economic graph – a digital map of the global economy that identifies the connections between people, jobs, skills, companies and professional knowledge.
