Fri, 22 Aug 2014Two graduates have developed a new jobs matching website and app that helps university leavers find suitable roles with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Evergrad, created by Dan Manzi and George Penman, operates in a similar way to dating app Tinder, allowing both employers and graduates to like each other before a match occurs. It also allows both parties to use video profiles.

Evergrad was developed to address what Manzi described as a “slow and monotonous” graduate recruitment process, which many SMEs can’t afford because of fees charged by traditional recruitment agencies.

In a statement, Manzi said: “Distressingly for SMEs, there has been no accessible way to reach talented graduates as traditional recruiters can be charging £3k to place a graduate using their service.”

Manzi told Recruiter the website, which will be formally launched with the app in September, has attracted 1,000 graduates and 100 employers since it went live in May.
